Our Story
We believe that gender equity is more than a moral imperative or a “women’s issue” — It is like the tide and it lifts all boats and not just women’s.
We developed the Women of the World (WOW) program as a response to the issue of the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions in all sectors worldwide. Gender equity, diversity and inclusion are critical components of the future of work and organisations committed to remaining relevant embrace this.
Despite much progress, there are still not enough women in key influential roles; on company boards, politics, leading start-ups, science, technology and engineering. Part of the problem is not having enough diverse female role models at the top. Some women look at what the current leaders “look like” and how they got there and say, no thanks. Leading in their own way and forging a different path to the top requires having the confidence to stand out and step up.
