The Women We Serve
People often ask me who WOW is for. The answer is surprisingly simple. WOW is for women who know they have more to.

We live in a culture that celebrates momentum.
Keep moving. Keep achieving. Keep producing. Keep going.
The problem is that movement and progress are not always the same thing.
I've worked with many accomplished women who are incredibly busy. Their calendars are full. Their responsibilities are significant. Their achievements are impressive.
Yet when I ask a simple question, "How are you, really?", there is often a long pause.
Not because they don't know the answer. Because nobody has asked them in a while.
Somewhere along the way, many of us become so focused on what needs to happen next that we stop paying attention to whether it is still what we want.
We continue on paths we chose years ago. We fulfil expectations. We meet obligations. We honour commitments. And all of those things have value.
But occasionally we need to stop long enough to ask whether the path we are on is still our path.
That is what I mean by a strategic pause. A strategic pause is not giving up. It is not stepping back permanently. It is not abandoning ambition. It is creating space to think before continuing.
The best leaders I know do this regularly. They review. Reflect. Question. Adjust.
They understand that intentionality is often more valuable than speed.
When women join WOW, many tell me they feel guilty about taking time for themselves. They worry it is indulgent. Selfish. Unproductive.
I see it differently. Reflection is productive. Clarity is productive. Purpose is productive.
The quality of our decisions improves when we create time to think.
The quality of our leadership improves when we understand ourselves better.
The quality of our lives improves when we are living intentionally.
A strategic pause allows us to ask questions that are difficult to hear amidst the noise. What matters now? What needs to change? What deserves more attention? What deserves less?
What am I no longer willing to carry?
Sometimes the answers are surprising. Sometimes they are obvious truths we have been avoiding.
Either way, they are easier to hear when we slow down.
The women I admire most are not necessarily the busiest. They are the most intentional. They know when to accelerate. They know when to pause.
And they understand that sometimes the most powerful step forward begins with standing still.
In Women of the World coaching we offer different types of pauses. An hour. A day. Several days. Pause moments over a period of weeks. They come in the form of Meets, Masterclasses, Workshops, Coaching Sessions and Retreats.
More reflections from the WOW pack on leadership, sisterhood and the strategic pause.
