The Strategic Pause

One of the questions I get asked most often is:
"What actually happens in a WOW coaching cohort?"
The simple answer is coaching.
The more accurate answer is transformation.
Not dramatic overnight transformation.
The quieter kind.
The kind that happens when someone finally has space to think. The kind that happens when a woman starts paying attention to the questions she's been avoiding. The kind that happens when insight becomes action.
Every WOW cohort is different because every group of women is different. What remains constant is the intention.
We create a space where women can pause, reflect, learn, challenge themselves and support one another. This is true whether it is a Meet, a Masterclass, the flagship virtual program or the face to face retreats.
Some arrive with a very specific goal.Perhaps they want a promotion.Perhaps they are considering a career change. Perhaps they are stepping into leadership for the first time.
Others arrive with a feeling they cannot quite articulate. A sense that something needs to change. A feeling that there is more available to them than their current reality.
Throughout the cohort, we explore both practical and personal questions.
What are you trying to achieve? What is getting in the way? What assumptions are you making? What strengths are you underestimating? What would you do if fear wasn't driving the decision?
These conversations often lead somewhere unexpected. The promotion becomes less important than confidence. The career question becomes a question of purpose. The challenge at work becomes an opportunity to redefine boundaries.
The answer is rarely where we expect to find it.
One of the things that makes WOW different is that coaching doesn't happen in isolation.
Women learn from one another as much as they learn from the coaches.
There is wisdom in the room.
Different industries.Different countries.Different ages. Different experiences.
Yet the themes are often remarkably similar. Belonging.Confidence.Purpose. Leadership. Identity. Contribution.
Many women join believing they need solutions. What they often discover is that they already have more answers than they realise.
What they need is space. Time. Perspective. Support. And the courage to act on what they already know.
That is what happens in a WOW coaching cohort. Not because we give women answers. Because we help them uncover their own.
More reflections from the WOW pack on leadership, sisterhood and the strategic pause.

Read the story →People often ask me who WOW is for. The answer is surprisingly simple. WOW is for women who know they have more to.
Read the story →Strong women are rarely asked if they're okay. People assume they're fine. That they can handle it. That they don't need.
